Courts of Heaven
Jesus put prayer in three different dimensions – Father, Friend, Judge.
Father
We approach God as our Father.
God as Father
We come before God the Father for our own needs and our own desires.
Friend
We approach God as our Friend.
God as Friend
We can go to our Friend for help - we are in a position of intercession. We come before God as Friend for the needs of others.
Judge
We approach God as our Judge.
God as Judge
We approach the Judge or going into a judical system. We come before God as a Judge when we're dealing with an adversary
